Long eventfull weekend

Well it was a long weekend. My boys and niece raced in the soap box derby. We did not do so well this weekend we are not sure quite why but my niece however won her division her very first year racing, which really is unheard of. She will go on to race at the All American in Akron, Ohio. We will be back next year to try to get one of our's to go. This picture is my DH and my oldest son Max. Before all the excitement. It was a very strange weekend for weather. We had to be at the track at 7am on Saterday and by 8 it was pouring down rain. But by Afternoon it had cleared up and we were baking in the hot sun. Needless to say we were all exhausted and burnt.

The picture at the top is my son Brandon. He won best contruction award. My oldest son also won that award for his division, But the award should really have gone to DH he spends hours preparing the cars for the race. It was alot of fun even though we walked away without placing this year.

On another note I have been E-bay shopping and have won four auctions I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my goodies. I will post some pictures when they arrive, or i figure out where I am going to put them. I never knew how much fun it could be to win an E-Bay auction, it was like Christmas all over again only you get stuff you really like. Well thats all for this post, I have alot of work to do that was put off from t he weekend so until next time.

Well it is officially summer. The kids have said I'm bored. I knew it wouldn't be long. I don't know how they can be bored they sure keep me busy. Between basketball camp and baseball games and practice you barley get a chance to breath. We are taking our first family vacation this summer, we are gong to Maryland for a week in July I am very much looking forward to the much needed break from the busy schedule. I am also looking forward to my package comming in the mail. I found a few things for the kitchen, It never seems like i have the right stuff where I want it. So a shopping I will go. I really have alot of fun with it. I havnt had time to go to the goodwill shopping since the kids have been home I really find some great stuff there. Well I am off for now it is time to run a child to somewhere.

It's Monday

Hello Everyone and happy Monday. I am so excited to have this blog. I have read so many of these blogs and have gotten so many ideas for my home. I hope that people will enjoy my blog as much as i enjoy others. I really love prims and just starting to decorate. I have a new home so it is a challenge to make it look old. I have always wanted an old centery home but cannot afford to buy one and then fix it up. So we make do. I do love my home, and i am loving it more now that I am making it what I have always dreamed of. Thank goodness my DH dosnt mind me online shopping for all this stuff. He just rolls his eyes and says what old stuff did you buy now? The goodwill has become a weekly shopping place for me I find so much good stuff in there. If anyone knows of good online places to shop for prims please let me know. I have found a few. Well i really must get busy with my day. Until next time.

A new beginning
